New Emergent Materials at High Pressures by Design

High Pressure plays significant role in shaping matter states. Pressure can substantially modify spin, charge or orbital of electrons assembles in the matrix of crystal lattice in respect of their profile, multiple interactions & collective behaviors that consequently leads to novel quantum emergent materials.We will introduce in this presentation the work primarily focusing on our recent research with the application of synergetic high pressure techniques to superconductivity, strong spin orbital coupling system & topological quantum matters. We thank collaborators for their great contributions to the topics related to this talk.

Biography Sketch

Changqing JIN received his Ph.D degree in condensed matter physics at Institute of Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOPCAS) in 1991. His research focus on studies of new quantum emergent materials by design including superconductors, diluted magnetic semiconductors, topological ordered matters etc. especially via synergetic extreme conditions. He is the team leader at IOPCAS, the elected Fellow of American Physics Society (APS), Fellow of Institute of Physics (FinstP). He delivered more than 80 invited talks at International Conferences. He has 21 patents. He published more than 300 peer reviewed papers including 32 in Nature (Nature Phys. or Nature Communication), PNAS & PRL.

He is  currently also the chair of the IUCr Commission on Crystallography of Materials.
