11th PRAGUE COLLOQUIUM ON f-ELECTRON SYSTEMS
Prague, 2nd – 5th July 2014
PCFES 2014 - the 11th Prague Colloquium on f-Electron Systems.
The traditional meeting, organized every 2 years since 1992, had a technical break in 2008.
Similar to the preceding events, also the 11th PCFES will focus on electronic structure, magnetism and superconductivity of f-electron systems (both lanthanides and actinides). Nevertheless relevant contributions from the field of transition metals can be accepted, too. It will cover both theoretical and experimental aspects.
The program of PCFES is traditionally based on lectures (approx. 30 minutes) given by distinguished specialists, which will be followed by discussions with all interested participants.
There will be no proceedings, but contributors are encouraged to
submit a short abstract.
To encourage the participation of students a special low student fee is envisaged. Furthermore, a limited number of student grants covering the fee as well as accommodation in a student dormitory will be available for early applicants.
